The History Center in Tompkins County helps you use the tools of history to understand the past, gain perspective on the present, and play an informed role in shaping the future. The history museum offers annually changing exhibits exploring the history, heritage, and diversity of Tompkins County. Activities, puzzles, and books available for kids and grown-ups. Entry to the museum is free with donations enthusiastically accepted. Research Library & Archives are available through advance appointment at no cost to all Tompkins County residents, with a minor charge for out-of-county researchers.
