One person was injured in a Monday afternoon shooting in Baton Rouge. The victim was left with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting around 1:30 p.m. on W. Johnson Street near Highland Road.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - One person was injured in a shooting in Baton Rouge on Monday afternoon, March 3, police said. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. on W. Johnson Street near Highland Road. Police said the victim has injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Investigators say officers from the 4th Precinct and Park Police responded to the shooting around 7:16 p.m. Monday. Police say they found the man inside a home on the 1400 block of 50th Ave N. He was taken to North Memorial Hospital.

The man was brought to North Memorial Hospital for treatment. His age and identity are unknown at this time, according to police.
