First time MLA Rekha Gupta will be sworn in as the fourth woman chief minister of the national capital after BJP made a comeback in the city after 27 years

An old picture of Gupta, along with former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, has been doing the rounds on social media platforms. Interestingly, Swaraj served as the CM of Delhi for two months – from October 1998 to December 1998 – becoming the first woman to hold the position.

Rekha Gupta’s first day as Delhi’s Chief Minister included a cabinet meeting after being sworn-in at Ramlila Maidan. This was followed by a Yamuna Aarti.
