Gamescom 2025 has officially kicked off, headlined by its Opening Night Live showcase hosted by Geoff Keighley and Eefje Depoortere.

The veteran character actor plays Mike Harper, one of four members of Black Ops 7’s SEAL Team Six squad who was first seen in Black Ops 2, but is even grizzlier in his new 2035 form. Also on the team are the returning Eric Samuels and David Mason,

Black Ops 7 takes place in the year 2035 and features futuristic weapons and gear. Additionally, Black Ops 7 has a new "Overlock" system that allows players to further augment their loadouts. Beyond that, the Omnimovement system from Black Ops 6 is back in Black Ops 7, and it's beefed up with a wall-jumping ability.

Gamescom 2025 officially begins with the Opening Night Live show in the evening of August 19, 2025. The trade fair, held at the Koelnmesse exhibition center in Cologne, will then open its doors the following day on August 20, though only for trade visitors, members of the media, creators, and other specific ticket holders.

A video advertisement for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has seemingly been published early, revealing new game features and a November release date. The ad, which was published ahead of a Gamescom reveal planned for later today, was spotted and captured by CharlieIntel.
