Donovan Mitchell scored 36 points, Darius Garland added 29 and the NBA-leading Cleveland Cavaliers took control in the second half and beat the Minnesota Timberwolves for a 124-117.

With the teams tied at halftime, Cleveland outscored Minnesota by 10 in the third quarter and opened the fourth with a 10-0 run to seize control.

Despite having no centers active against the Cavs, the OKC Thunder still managed to blow Cleveland out of the water.

It’ll be interesting to see which identity is able to better sustain success once the postseason is here. Throw in the possibility of a rematch in the NBA Finals, and how either team adjusts away from its identity could be the difference between winning it all or being disappointed by season’s end.

A lot can change in a week. And in just a week's time, the Oklahoma City Thunder were able to gain ground in their argument as being the NBA's best team.
