Over a dozen structures were damaged or destroyed in the first few days of a fire that started in southeast Utah last week, including some that were damaged by a fire-induced tornado.

A fire vortex, formed from intense heat of combined fires and turbulent winds, spread in Deer Creek in San Juan County, Utah on July 12. The firenado formed from the massive Deer Creek fire that by July 14, was reported to have grown to more than 10,000 acres with zero containment, and the cause remains unknown.
