Santa Fire initially started today at 9:27 p.m. in Riverside County, California. It has burned 4.1 acres of private land. At this time, the containment status is unknown and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

A quickly growing fire in Riverside County torched more than 500 acres of land and prompted evacuation orders on Monday, according to authorities. Dubbed the Juniper Fire, it was initially reported at 11:28 a.m. in unincorporated parts of Perris, near the area of Idaleona and Juniper roads, Cal Fire said .

Cooler temperatures and humidity are helping firefighters fight the fire, which nearly doubled in size since Monday afternoon.
