Cynthia Erivo‘s next role is the exact opposite of wicked. As announced Tuesday (Feb. 18), the singer/actress is locked in to star as the titular role in Jesus Christ Superstar, running three nights in a row at the Hollywood Bowl this August.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic unveils the Hollywood Bowl's 2025 season lineup, including Cynthia Erivo in "Jesus Christ Superstar" as well as Gustavo Dudamel's penultimate season.

Erivo is fresh off the screen playing Elphaba in the hit film adaptation of “Wicked.” She is now set to play Jesus in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Jesus Christ Superstar,” NBC News reported. The show run which will run from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
