An alarm going off led to an evacuation of the site of the Iowa high school girls state basketball tournament Monday night. During the sixth of seven games scheduled for the day, a local fire department was called to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines to investigate.

The Republican House majority is in jeopardy due to the upcoming Supreme Court race in Wisconsin, which could result in a liberal majority on the court and the potential striking down of the state’s congressional map, costing Republicans two U.S. House seats.
