No. 5 seed Andrey Rublev of Russia advanced to face No. 8 Jack Draper of Great Britain in the final of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open after each player won his respective semifinal match Friday in Doha.

Jack Draper fell at the final hurdle at the Qatar Open as he was beaten in three sets by Andrey Rublev. The Briton went down 7-5 5-7 6-1 in final to the fifth seed as a concerted fightback eventually came up short in Doha as the 27-year-old Russian claimed the title for a second time.

Jack Draper conceded that Andrey Rublev was "too good" and "outlasted" him at the Qatar Open final, which the Russian claimed via a 6-1 deciding set in Doha.
