Javier Mascherano has brought the curtain down on a record-breaking career with Argentina, with the 34-year-old having announced his international retirement.

Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano has provided an update on the injury to talisman Lionel Messi after his early substitution against Necaxa in the Leagues Cup.

Mascherano most recently was Argentina's under-20 team and Olympic coach; the national team let him out of the last two years of his contract to come to Inter Miami — where he has a three-year deal.
