Joshua Steven Riibe, an American from Rock Rapids, Iowa, has been named in the investigation into the disappearance of Sudiksha Konanki. Riibe, a senior at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, was the last person seen with Konanki before she vanished in Punta Cana on March 6.

A power cut at hotel: The Riu República Hotel in Punta Cana experienced power cut during the early hours of March 6 — the day on which Konanki, a Virginia resident, went missing around pre-dawn. As darkness loomed, many guests — including Konanki and her friends — left the hotel for the beach, Dominican Today reported.
