WINNIPEG — Ivan Fedotov made 29 saves before stopping three more in the shootout, and the Philadelphia Flyers extended their point streak to five games with a 2-1 win against the Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Centre on Saturday.

The Philadelphia Flyers get back over .500 as they beat the NHL’s best team, the Winnipeg Jets, on their home ice Saturday night. Ivan Fedotov led the Flyers to the 2-1 shootout win, the first win for a Flyers’ backup goalie since Aleksei Kolosov’s win against the Red Wings on December 12th.

Mark Scheifele scored the only goal for the Jets, with Gabriel Vilardi and Kyle Connor picking up helpers. Connor Hellebuyck made 31 stops for Winnipeg, which is 0-1-1 since a franchise-record 11-game winning streak but remain atop the NHL standings.
