A joint operation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has resulted in the indictment of eight individuals with ties to the notorious Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang for their alleged involvement in a transnational commercial sex enterprise.

Eight Venezuelan gang members have been indicted in connection with sex trafficking women from South America to Tennessee, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

According to court documents, women from Venezuela were lured to the U.S. with promises of a better life, only to be forced into prostitution.
