Most of Michigan's Lower Peninsula could see significant snow accumulation Wednesday into Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

The biggest winter storm of the winter season so far is set to hit the Chicago area Wednesday, bringing several inches of snow to much of the region.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for the entire Chicago area, with one-tenth of an inch of ice possibly falling thanks to freezing rain and drizzle.
