Rain totals will remain anywhere from half an inch to an inch or more before tapering off west to east by Wednesday afternoon. The coldest air arrives by Wednesday night, so expect freezing temperatures for Thursday and Friday mornings.

Waves of rain will persist through early Tuesday morning, with temperatures remaining on the chilly side. A stronger front is expected to arrive Wednesday night, followed by a couple of morning freezes.

North Texas will experience showers overnight, followed by cold temperatures on Wednesday. Over the next seven days, a series of weather disturbances will lead to fluctuating temperatures.
