President Donald Trump said the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles plan to visit the White House to celebrate their championship.

Reports that the Eagles have declined a White House invitation are unsubstantiated. Trump announced Tuesday that he planned to formally invite the team for a White House visit, and no members of the Eagles ownership, front office, management, nor any players have publicly said the team has declined or will decline an invitation.

The Philadelphia Eagles have not snubbed President Donald Trump’s invitation to celebrate their Super Bowl victory at the White House because no such offer has been made to the team, administration and Eagle officials said on Monday.

"They'll be extended an invitation," Trump said in the Oval Office. "They deserve to be down here."

Donald Trump reacted amidst a report claiming that Philadelphia Eagles has rejected the White House invitation following their Super Bowl victory.

The Philadelphia Eagles captured their second Super Bowl title by throttling the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl 59. The Eagles took it to the back-to-back champs in every facet of the game and emphatically declared themselves the best team in the NFL.
