Four suspects in a robbery in Fremont were arrested when a police chase ended in a crash in San Leandro, police said.

SAN LEANDRO — The suspect in a 2024 killing was released from jail after his attorney told the judge about “confidential medical information” and argued he was the “driver and nothing more,” according to court records.

Police in San Leandro are hoping the public can help them locate a missing girl Monday night. Janilah Legrand, 14, was last seen at or near Hayward High School at about 3:30 p.m.

Police in San Jose announced Friday the arrests of seven people in connection with a violent smash-and-grab robbery in which an 88-year-old jewelry store owner was brutally attacked.
