Body found in retention pond on West Shore in South Tampa

Tampa police are investigating after a body was found in a retention pond on West Shore Boulevard on Monday. Police were summoned to the 2200 block of N West Shore Boulevard about 10:30 a.m. after a report “of a subject in the water,” according to a news release. Police said the department’s dive team later found a body in the pond.
