New York Giants fans are enjoying the refreshing and exciting play of their new rookie quarterback, Jaxson Dart. Many have moved on from Daniel Jones. However, Jones just made headlines for something no one saw coming.
On Tuesday, the Colts named former New York Giants first-round pick Daniel Jones as the Week 1 starter after a competition in training camp. Colts coach Shane Steichen was transparent about the battle between Richardson and Jones this offseason.
Jones ended up playing six seasons for the Giants. Over that time, he achieved a 24-44-1 record. While completing 64 percent of his passes, Jones totaled 14,582 yards. He tossed 70 touchdowns and 47 interceptions. In the ground game, Jones rushed 399 times for 2,179 yards and 15 touchdowns.
