A Russian drone struck a multi-storey apartment building late on Sunday in Ukraine's second largest city, Kharkiv, triggering a fire and injuring eight people, the city's mayor said.

Russia launched a massive 3,902 drones at Ukraine, more than ten times as many as February 2024. And Russian Shahed drones production is still rising.

The attack came as leaders in Kyiv and across Europe are seeking to navigate rapid changes in U.S. foreign policy under President Trump.

Officials in the Russian-occupied part of Kherson also said two people had died in Ukrainian shelling on Sunday.

Ukrainian drones attacked a major sea port in southern Russia as well as Rosneft PJSC’s Tuapse oil refinery, potentially affecting fuel exports.

Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov said that all the strikes targeted central districts of the city, with emergency crews responding at multiple locations.
