Day two of the US Open’s revamped mixed doubles event brought its fair share of drama both on and off the court, with Jack Draper finding himself at the centre of two eyebrow-raising moments.

Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz’s all-star partnership was brought to a premature end as they were beaten in the first round of the revamped US Open mixed doubles.

Jack Draper received a telling-off from his US Open mixed doubles partner Jessica Pegula after he mistakenly branded the tournament an “exhibition”. Draper and Pegula are the No. 1 seeds in the draw for the revamped mixed event, which has a staggering £741k ($1million) prize up for grabs for the champions.
