Brunson is in his third season with the Knicks. He averaged 26.0 points and 7.3 assists during the 2024-25 regular season while shooting 48.8% from the field, 38.3% from beyond the arc and 82.1% from the free-throw line.

Brunson earned 70 first-place votes, 24 second-place votes, and four votes for third place, hauling in 426 points.
