The format of the mixed doubles tournament at the U.S. Open this year may have been brand new, but the winners were as traditional as could be.

Casper Ruud and Iga Swiatek will face the top-seeded duo of Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper in one semifinal of the revamped US Open mixed doubles tournament. Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori meet Danielle Collins and Christian Harrison in the other.

Iga Swiatek has confirmed her participation in today’s US Open mixed doubles event despite a rapid turnaround from her victory at the Cincinnati Open on Monday night. The Polish star, who won Wimbledon last month, did not drop a set all week in Cincinnati and defeated Jasmine Paolini 7-5 6-4 to lay down a marker ahead of the US Open.
