It looks like the New England Patriots may have interest in getting involved in the race for one of the more highly sought-after trade chips of this offseason.

Almost immediately after New England Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf suggested on Monday that he could trade either a first- or second-round draft pick for an impact player,

According to NBC Sports Boston Patriots insider Phil Perry, Wolf is not opposed to making a major trade before the start of the NFL season, as star players like Cincinnati's Trey Hendrickson and Washington's Terry McLaurin sit on the trade block.

Eliot Wolf said the Patriots would be willing to deal a first- or second-round draft pick, but doing it now doesn't seem likely.
