WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said Tuesday that he believes President Donald Trump is prepared to “crush” Russia’s economy with a new wave of sanctions if Russian President Vladimir Putin refuses to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the coming weeks.

Other lower level meetings planned for this week underscore the massive task ahead for European allies as they weigh plans for sending a peacekeeping force to Ukraine.

After meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Donald Trump touted that he had a "very good meeting" with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in D.C.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived at the White House for talks with President Donald Trump and key European leaders as the U.S. leader presses for a quick end to the brutal Russia-Ukraine war.

Former national security adviser Jake Sullivan says President Trump will "put all the pressure on Zelenskyy" to make a peace deal with Russia, during their meeting in Washington, D.C. today.

Trump said he and the Russian leader spoke last week about what they see as the problems with mail-in voting. Since then, Trump has pushed again for the U.S. to end the practice.
