Minnesota added another shortstop Sunday night: high schooler Quentin Young, the nephew of former Twin Delmon Young. The 6-foot-6 18-year-old is committed to Louisiana State University, and MLB.com said he "has a ton of projection, obvious baseball bloodlines and some loud tools."

Day 1 also saw the Twins pick Delmon Young's power-hitting nephew and two big, hard-throwing college right-handers.

Former Minnesota Twins pitcher Dan Serafini was found guilty of murder and attempted murder after killing his father-in-law and attempting to kill his mother-in-law in 2021. Serafini, 51, was deemed guilty by a jury in Placer County,
