ATM fees continue to rise. The Wall Street Journal points to new study that says the fees are at a record high. Banks now charge an average of $1.64 when customers use an ATM from another bank.

Chase requires that consumers use the bank’s debit card that has been loaded into an Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay mobile wallet. Consumers then tap their phone at a certain spot on the ATM.
