Second shallow earthquake shakes the state, this time near middle Georgia
The Tuesday evening earthquake rattled middle Georgia roughly 10 hours after a 2.6 earthquake in northwest Georgia in Chattooga County. Although it was a shallow earthquake, there were a few reports of shaking or damage, both in Georgia and northeast Alabama, according to the USGS Shakemap.
