Another former Shaker High School pitcher is on the move during this Major League Baseball offseason. Tommy Kahnle, a 2007 Shaker graduate, signed Wednesday with the Detroit Tigers after spending the past two seasons in the bullpen of the New York Yankees.
Kahnle, 35, has spent parts of 10 seasons in the big leagues, including six with the New York Yankees. He was a reliable part of the Bronx bullpen last season. He made nine appearances in the postseason, earning the save in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series at Cleveland.
