In a release, Oklahoma revealed that student-athletes set a cumulative GPA record of 3.29 this fall semester. The release also revealed that the football team posted its highest-ever fall semester GPA of 3.06.

Why the Oklahoma Sooners will be better in 2025
The Sooners' schedule is tough. It will be one of the more difficult slates in 2025. But there's no guarantee that the teams on their schedule will be as good as they were in 2024. Oklahoma, on the other hand, should be significantly improved as their offense gets much better under Arbuckle and Mateer.
It would’ve been an incredibly splashy hire for Venables after 2024 defensive coordinator Zac Alley left for the same position at West Virginia, but that won’t make or break Venables’ time in Norman.
