Top seed Emma Navarro made light work of Colombian qualifier Emiliana Arango with a crushing 6-0 6-0 victory in the final of the Merida Open on Sunday as the American claimed her second career title.

Emma Navarro won her second career title at the Merida Open Akron on Sunday. She becomes the fifth player this century to win a WTA final 6-0, 6-0.

In its first year as a WTA 500 tournament, the Merida Open will crown a new champion when Emma Navarro locks horns against Emiliana Arango. The top seed has one Tour-level title to her name but is yet to triumph at this level.
