Polish PM is trying to reassert control over both the country’s borders and his increasingly unruly governing alliance.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Poland plans to introduce temporary checks on its border with Germany starting Monday. Additionally, future checks will extend to Poland's eastern border with Lithuania.

Poland will temporarily reinstate border controls with Germany and Lithuania. Prime Minister Donald Tusk made the announcement on Tuesday, after Germany announced stricter migration policies under Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
