The New York Mets flew into Williamsport Regional Airport Sunday morning for the Major League Baseball Classic game, but for the pilot, it was a homecoming. Dylan Peace, of Pittsburgh, found out about a month ago that he would be the one flying the team into the airport where he originally learned to fly.
The New York Mets have placed catcher Francisco Alvarez on the 10-day injured list with a right thumb UCL sprain.
The Mets were greeted at the airport in Williamsport on Sunday by plenty of enthusiastic young fans and connected with teams from all over the world.
