Today is Election Day in North Carolina. Polls opened at 6:30 a.m. and will close at 7:30 p.m. Any voter in line at their assigned polling place at 7:30 p.m. should be allowed to vote, the State Board of Elections says. The busiest times are usually early morning and just before polls close, the state says.

Americans cast their ballots in the presidential race between Republican nominee former President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Vice-President Kamala Harris.

As voters head to the polls on Election Day, they have the option to choose from nine limited edition "I Voted" stickers or go with the generic one.

Coloradans began receiving their ballots in October and continued dropping off ballots and voting in person on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024.
