Qatar's Foreign Ministry will hold a news conference on Wednesday in Doha where the country has been hosting talks towards a Gaza ceasefire deal, a senior Qatari official said.

Storyline: The Gaza ceasefire negotiations being held in the Qatari capital of Doha have entered "final stages," with discussions on the final details of the agreement in progress, a spokesman for the country's foreign ministry said Tuesday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Hamas of backing out of a cease-fire deal to release hostages and end the war in Gaza, which has raged for more than a year.

Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Qatar’s prime minister and foreign affairs minister, spoke on Jan. 15, as Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire.

The announcement came soon after Israel put out a statement saying that there were still details to be worked out.

While announcing a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani was asked by CNN’s Becky Anderson how mediators will ensure neither side breaks the agreement.
