KLBK Lubbock on MSNMeasles outbreak update: 58 cases reported across the South Plains, officials saidData from the Texas Department of State Health Services reported 58 measles cases have been identified over the last three weeks. According to DSHS, 13 patients have been hospitalized.
Unvaccinated people have a 90 percent chance of becoming infected, and infected people can spread the disease for up to three weeks.
While sickness is in the air, the Alabama Department of Public Health is reminding parents to make sure that their children are up to date on their measles shots.
