The Associated Press All-America college football teams have been a staple for a century, showcasing the evolution of the game.

NEW YORK (AP) — AP releases its all-time All-America college football team featuring some of the greatest names in the game.

Well, the Associated Press (AP) recently released its' all-time All-America college football team, with a total of three Alabama players named. Of those three, two were First Team selections in John Hannah and Derrick Thomas, while DeVonta Smith was named to the Second Team.

For 100 years, The Associated Press has honored the best of the best in college football with its annual All-America team. Nearly 2,000 men — from Red Grange to Travis Hunter — have earned the distinction of AP All-American in a tradition that rivals the longest in the history of the game.
