As the calendar is about to flip to August, ESPN's Kevin Pelton handed out a grade for all 30 NBA teams for their 2025 offseason. All the big moves have been made, as most rosters are settled two months before training camp kicks off.

The Thunder will enter the 2025-26 season at the top of the food chain. The NBA champions will hope to be a rare repeat winner. They spent the offseason locking down Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren to long-term deals.

Following up that in the offseason can be hard, but it seems like the Thunder did just about as much as they could have done. It may not have been the most eventful free agency process, but they brought in two new players in the NBA Draft and resigned the ones that helped them win their first championship trophy.

July 29 happens to be Jalen Williams Day in Oklahoma City — with only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren waiting to be celebrated. Williams has been quite vocal, asking fans to “throw something on the grill” for his teammates, and even general manager Sam Presti, owner Clay Bennett and head coach Mark Daigneault.

Battling a heat wave, the Oklahoma City Thunder were rewarded an extra gift at the end of their NBA championship parade a little over a month ago. Sharing the stage with OKC Mayor David Holt, 21 individuals — including all 18 players — received a holiday.

During his time suiting up for the Thunder, Williams wore only jersey No. 34 and put up 6.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
