Monica Peterson on Instagram: "Most children with Down Syndrome experience hypotonia. Hypotonia is low muscle tone. This can cause an array of challenges like feeding problems, hypermobility, delayed walking, delayed speech, breathing difficulties, poor posture, and poor reflexes. Riven’s hypotonia is relatively mild though she has had issues in the past with breathing and feeding but she is doing great now.  #downsyndromeawarenessmonth"
