Hundreds gathered at Southwick beach to celebrate the launch of the UK’s largest “living seawall”. Shoreham Port has unveiled the Southwick Reef, a pioneering project designed to boost marine life along the harbour using specially designed reef structures and pools. Early sightings already include starfish, limpets and anemones, with scientists set to monitor how biodiversity grows over time.
