In 1982, 17-year-old Courtney Love left the United States, spent time in Dublin, and became obsessed with the exploding Liverpool post-punk scene. She met Julian Cope of The Teardrop Explodes and ended up moving to Liverpool with her friend Robin Barbur. They lived in a rundown flat near Toxteth and immersed themselves in the city’s music culture. She was in Liverpool in 1982. Within about two years she was fronting an early version of Faith No More in San Francisco. Before Courtney Love became
