My recovery after being shot has taught me progress can be gained inch by inch—just like the fight to end gun violence. For 10 years since I co-founded Giffords, my goal has been to save lives. I'm so grateful for the survivors and advocates I've met along the way, including Jeanette Richardson and Pam Bosley, who both lost their sons to gun violence.
