We have successfully reunited another Mother and baby sloth! This time they were 2 toed sloths (Choloepus hoffmanni) which tends to be a bit more difficult due to the cry of the baby. (Choloepus hoffmanni tend to have a much softer cry than the 3 toed's (Bradypus variegatus) which is much more high pitched.) If you listen closely you can hear the baby crying for Mom in the video! #jrcrelease This 2 finger sloth (Choloepus hoffmanni) came to the center after he was spotted staying very low in a tree, and the locals didn’t know if he was OK. As usual, we checked him and noticed he had some breathing problems and was aggressive. He stayed for observation for 4 days.
